The Certification Card issued through either the American Heart Association or the American Academy of Pediatrics does not imply competence or expertise during the performance of medical procedures in the health-care theater. The Card designates that the student has successfully completed an American Heart Association or American Academy of Pediatrics Course and has satisfied the minimal requirements according to pre-established guidelines. Expertise and competence requires further practice, study and collaboration with other Emergency Health care Providers in the health care theater.
