S.T.A.B.L.E Neonatal Education Program
S.T.A.B.L.E. is widely recognized and practical neonatal education program that focuses on the post-resuscitation and pre-transport stabilization medical care for sick infants. To optimize learning a the mnemonic S.T.A.B.L.E. is used which stands for the six assessment and care modules in the program:
Sugar,
Temperature
Airway
Blood pressure
Lab work
Emotional support.
The Final care module, focusing on Quality Improvement. This 7th and Final component stresses the professional responsibility of improving and evaluating care provided to sick infants.
Student Candidates
All Infant stabilization team members will benefit from the S.T.A.B.L.E. Education program.
The infant stabilzation team requires the participation of all health providers involved with post-resuscitation and/or pre-transport efforts for the care of sick newborns.
